Champagne Barons de Rothschild has adopted the technology so consumers to check that the bottle is an authentic Rothschild vintage. You can authentic the origin of the bottle by scanning the unique QR code with your smartphone, or by typing the identifying number into Rothschild’s website. The Bubble Tag™ forms part of the bottle’s seal, so you can easily tell if the bottle has been tampered with.
The move aims to counter the growing market for counterfeit or refilled original bottles. Champagne Barons de Rothschild is the latest high-quality wine producer to implement the Prooftag system. You can also find it on vintages from the Blankiet Estate, Chateau Montelena Winery, Domaine Ponsot and Vignobles Contes de von Neipperg.
